Sixth Form Open Evening 2021

Parents & Students in Year 11 are warmly invited to our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 14th October. There will be a talk at 18:00 followed by guided tours of the school and faculties.

We are delighted to be able to welcome you into the school building again with some extra measures in place to keep our community safe, as national restrictions begin to ease.#

Each person (parents & children) attending must book a ticket.

Proof of COVID Status

In order to ensure a safe and efficient Open Evening for all we ask that you follow the guidance below:

To gain entry into the school building you will need to provide either:

1) Proof of Vaccination: Both doses received with the second at least 14 days prior to the Open Evening

2) Proof of a Negative NHS Lateral Flow Test: taken within 48 hours of your arrival at Open Evening

3) Proof of Natural Immunity: Based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the Open Evening including 10 days self-isolation after the result

Sample Covid Status checks will take place as you arrive for your allocated appointment time.

This is not a ‘Covid Passport’. If you have not had the vaccine then you can take a free test available to pick up from supermarkets or chemists. No-one is excluded and we are happy to answer any questions you have.

NHS Lateral Flow Test

If you are proving your COVID status using a free NHS lateral flow test, this must be taken before arriving at Open Evening and the results registered with confirmation of result shown via email or text. We are not testing at the school gates.

Students

Students do not need to prove their Covid status to gain entry to Open Evening.

This event is open to Year 11 students and their parents and we ask that as far as possible other family members do not attend the Open Evening on this occasion in order to reduce risk to you and those around you.

Face Masks

Government guidance now states that wearing a face mask is a matter of personal choice. We ask that you wear a face mask at Open Evening if you can. Our staff will also be wearing face masks if they can.

Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitiser will be available as you enter the school building and will be accessible in classrooms as you move through school on your tour.

If you or any of your household have symptoms of Covid-19 on 14th October, please do not attend the Open Evening in person. Our Virtual Open Event is available on our website.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to STACS on 14th October.
