Year 12 Geography Fieldtrip to Bournville
On Tuesday 6th July Year 12 Geography students visited Bournville to undertake a pilot study of the data collection methods they will use for their NEA coursework (worth 20% of their final A Level grade). Students worked in groups to collect data using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods including environment surveys, sustainability score cards and people/traffic counts. The aim of the activity was to trial the methods and make final adaptions and improvements before carrying out their final NEA methods. Students worked exceptionally well and were excellent representatives of STACS. They thoughtfully reflected and evaluated their methods, making final improvements before their final data collection next Tuesday.
