Our Library

Literacy and reading are an important part of STACS life. Years 7 and 8 have an Accelerated Reading lesson in the library each week where they have the chance to choose and read books suited to their reading ability. Other year groups can access the library at break, lunch time, and after school.

There is a quiet study space for all year groups, and a dedicated space where sixth form students can work, these are available throughout the school day. Laptops and iPads are available for use in the library, and free photocopying and printing for homework is available to students. As well as fiction books, the library has collections of non- fiction information books for homework, hobbies and interests, manga books, graphic novels and a sixth form reference book collection.

Items of stationery including pencil cases containing all equipment needed for school are for sale.
The library is open for borrowing books, reading, and completing homework on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4pm.
